I did not allow Ty to try his hand at cooking this past week. I would never allow a 4 year old to cook whatever he wanted in the microwave so he could feel like an adult. And I did not try at least one bite of each item he cooked so he wouldn't feel bad - Including burnt oreo's, hot fruit coctail and and entire bag of marshmellows burned to a crisp on a plate.
I did not lie to my family Wednesday night when the meeting I was supposed to have got cancelled an hour before it was supposed to start. I did not still bring my boys to the hockey arena and tell Kurt that I was heading out to my meeting so that I could have 1 hour of "adult time". I did not drive out to visit my mom and totally enjoy grownup conversation for a couple of hours.
Nick did not name his hockey stick!! I have heard of people naming their vehicles, but a hockey stick?? The child is not totally obsessed with hockey and brings 3 sticks with him to a game just in case one breaks like the high school players.
Seeing that I had tons of laundry and packing to do before we left for our hockey weekend Friday night, Eric did not do the dishes for me while I was in the basement with the never ending laundry. And he most certainly did not tell me he did the dishes so that I would have a happy heart and not have to worry about doing them. How sweet is that!!!!
Well that's all for this week. Check out MckMama's Not me monday by clicking on the not me monday link at the beginning of this post.

Can't blame you for wanting adult conversation sometimes. I know that feeling. The hockey stick naming though is hilarious. Great NMM's. Have a great week.
Naming the hockey stick is a crack-up.
