Since I did not post a not me monday last week, I thought that I would do a two week one today. Click on the link to check out MckMama's website and other Not Me Monday bloggers who are venting this week.
Having no packing tape in the house I did not resort to using black hockey stick tape. I guess that one falls in the topic of "You know you're obsessed with hockey when..."
I did not stay up until 2am wrapping "santa" presents for my kids because I didn't have any kid free time to do it before Christmas Eve.
I did not get totally frustrated with the toy manufactures after spending HOURS Christmas day removing tiny tiny rubberbands, twisty ties & screws from toy packages just to get the toy out of the packaging!! Why do they have to make it so difficult?!?!
My children did not check our computer about every 15 minutes to see where santa was at that time. (what a great way to get them to go to sleep fairly early!! Santa landed in North America on the website and they were up in bed by themselves!!)
My two dogs, although I'm not sure if it was both of them or only one, did not rip open their presents sometime during the night and eat the entire box of bones.
Tyler did not come running upstairs this morning all upset because the reindeer ate his strawberry ice cream. Some clarification on this is probably needed... We got a giant container of strawberry ice cream from a friend who owns an ice cream shop that is closed for the season. Well, this commercial size tub of ice cream would not fit in our freezer and being that we live in Northern Minnesota I thought it was perfectly fine using our front steps as the freezer. Well, sometime during the night Christmas Eve a stray dog or maybe the coyote that is living in the woods near our house rolled the container down the porch stairs and ripped it open and ate the entire thing!! Needless to say, Tyler was not happy that the reindeer ate all of his ice cream.
I did not find Ty's keke (blanket) that has been lost for over a week. Upon receiving his blanket back right before church Ty did not promply stick his thumb in his mouth and rub his special spot on the keke and fall dead asleep on my lap for the entire hour and a half long service. What a relief to find the blanket - I never realized how attached he was to it.
I did not forget and not have enough time to send out our Christmas cards yet. Sorry everyone. I guess this year we will be sending out New Years cards. It's not like I'm not busy or anything!?!?
I did not lay saran wrap over my curling iron on accident while trying to curl my hair and wrap plates of cookies at the same time. I surely did not notice that I did that and proceeded to curl my hair with melted plastic wrap on the iron. Melted plastic and burnt hair is not a pretty smell!!
I did not cheer like a crazed hockey mom this weekend during Nick's hockey tournament. I also thought that I was the quiet sports participant. I guess things change!!
I did not run outside one morning to start my car wearing no shoes and just socks. What kind of nut would do that in -25 degree temperatures??
I did not allow my boys to drag their mattresses down the stairs so that we could have a slumber party on New Years Eve. And I most certainly did not allow them to keep them in the living room the following night either.
Our entire household was not asleep by 11pm on New Year's Eve. While watching Disney Channels rockin new years eve I did not correct my boys when they thought it was midnight when it was really only 11pm our time and counted down the new year an hour early along with the tv show. They didn't know that the disney channel is on eastern time and I wanted to go to bed!!
I am not totally excited that Christmas vacation is done and school started again today!!
Well, there you go. That was alot of not me's when you add two weeks worth together!!
Glad Stellen is feeling better MckMama - that was quite a scare he gave you!!
